AWAB Executive Director to Deliver CRCDS Lecture
The Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptists (AWAB) is proud to announce that our Executive Director, Rev. Dr. Brian Henderson, will deliver the Melanie Duguid-May Christian Faith & LGBTQ+ Experience Lecture at Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School (CRCDS)—one of AWAB’s Education Partners.
The lecture, titled “Baptist Freedoms and LGBTQ+ Inclusion: Moving Beyond Clobber Texts Toward Courageous Affirmation,” will take place on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 7:00 PM ET. Attendees may join in person on the CRCDS campus in Rochester, NY, or participate online through the live webinar option.
This annual lecture series invites communities to engage pressing issues of faith and justice. Dr. Henderson’s ministry spans more than 25 years of pastoral leadership and denominational service, consistently embodying courageous inclusion and compassionate leadership. His message promises to be both prophetic and practical, equipping attendees with tools for deeper theological reflection and bold affirmation.
