Recognizing the ever-evolving shifts within this work, AWAB has expanded the association to include educational institutions such as colleges, seminaries, and divinity schools as members. Our Current Partners

Fletcher Seminary is founded by administrators, staff, faculty, alumni, and friends of the former Logsdon Seminary in Abilene, Texas. With more than 200+ years of experience in theological education, we are uniquely qualified to continue that legacy of academic excellence and practical preparation for ministry in the church and in the community and culture.

With its deep roots in the Baptist tradition, Colgate Rochester Crozer has been affiliated with the American Baptist Churches USA (ABCUSA) since its inception in 1819. Over the years, Colgate Rochester Crozer has evolved through significant mergers, including the Baptist Missionary Training School in 1961 and Crozer Theological Seminary in 1970. Today, it stands as the sole progressive seminary in the Western New York and Finger Lakes region, committed to preparing socially conscious leaders who make a difference through Christ-centered leadership and service.

The Baptist House of Studies (or the BHS) is a dedicated community of Baptist and Free Church students, staff, and faculty committed to learning, celebrating, challenging, and questioning what it means to be faithful in a modern context.

The BHS was envisioned and brought to life through the passion of Rev. Dr. Jaime Clark-Soles and Rev. Dr. George Mason. Seeking to support students from Baptist and other Free Church traditions within a Methodist seminary, they built a program and a community that helps students discern the shape of their call within the Baptist and Free Church traditions.

Sophia Theological Seminary

As an embodied community of learners committed to God as revealed in Jesus Christ, the Seminary assents to a set of core values, including:

Life together in community will be marked by daily rhythms of study, worship, fellowship, and work.
Being a community of inclusive welcome is foundational to the life, work, and self-understanding of the Seminary.
Theological education is to be a holistic endeavor, undertaken with rigor, built upon a curriculum that is integrated across disciplines and that moves freely between “church” and “academy”.
The community will exercise wise stewardship of capital resources, natural resources, and people.
The community claims its heritage as little “b” baptist, understanding this heritage as historical, transcending specific denominational confines, and equally commits itself to ecumenical and interfaith work, locally and globally.

The Crossing Campus Ministry

THE CROSSING is an inclusive, multi-faith, non-profit organization at University of Wisconsin-Madison. We welcome a diverse community of students and community advocates. Our beautiful, historic, and welcoming space was built in 1917. We invite students to study, enjoy being together, collaborate on justice advocacy, take time for spiritual reflection, and regularly share meals

Weekly programming at THE CROSSING includes small groups that have meaningful conversations about faith, spirituality, and important national, local and campus issues. Our weekly Wednesday dinner gathering includes music, conversation, good food and talks about justice and spirituality. We also create opportunities to critically learn about religious diversity, the variety of sacred texts, and the complexities of ethics.”

Most days of the week students can find a free or low cost delicious, hot meal here. ALL students are welcome. We are partnered with Slow Food Cafe, the Food Recovery Network, and UW Frozen Meals Program, who all serve meals at THE CROSSING. See our calendar for meal service days & times.
