Historically, AWAB has partnered with congregations and ministries that provide welcoming and affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ people. Recognizing the ever-evolving shifts within this work, AWAB seeks to create relationships and partnerships with institutions such as colleges, seminaries, divinity schools, etc.

An education partner can identify with AWAB to more publicly communicate its welcoming and affirming convictions to a broader community of prospective constituents. Such a partnership will reciprocally assist AWAB and education partners in connecting LGBTQ+ individuals to educational and vocational pursuits.

What are education partner expectations?

• Complete an application and provide supporting documentation for its full support of LGBTQ+ individuals*
• Annually support AWAB at one of the following levels (financial support can be adjusted year-to-year):

$500 includes:

• AWAB will feature educational partners with a designated page on its website

$750 includes the above and:

• A list of education partners will be included in AWAB exhibits at regional/national conferences
• 2 annual advertisements in AWAB’s newsletter

$1,200 includes the above and:

• Education partners can request its promotional materials be promoted/made available at the annual AWAB Lectureship
• A 2-minute public promotional moment will be made available if requested at the annual AWAB Lectureship
• AWAB will promote quarterly education partner’s events/activities through its social media outlets
• A quarterly advertisement in AWAB’s newsletter

AWAB will proactively promote its education partners when member congregations and ministries inquire about ministry/vocational preparation

*AWAB reserves the right to remove recognition of an education partner if the institution’s commitment to the full inclusion of LGBTQ+ individuals changes
