2026 Christ Congregation Princeton Annual August Preaching Fellowship
Position: Christ Congregation Princeton United Church of Christ (CCP) seeks an annual preaching fellow for August 2026 (August 2nd-August 30th). The fellow will preach and lead worship for five Sunday services on a theme of the fellow’s choosing.
Setting: CCP is a small and thriving congregation in a residential neighborhood of Princeton, NJ. Our members come from a variety of backgrounds but share a vibrant progressive Christianity. We are “open and affirming” and welcome all people. Our worship services combine traditional and informal elements under the leadership of experienced musicians. Our pastor takes a month of leave in August.
Support: The fellow will be supported by the Church Council, Music Director, and Spiritual Care Team for each Sunday service. The fellow would not have any pastoral responsibilities.
Requirements: The fellow should be a seminary student or a graduate with some experience in preaching, planning, and leading worship. They should be comfortable with theological diversity and the dynamics of progressive Christianity. They should know how to collaborate in worship planning and leadership. Services will be conducted in person.
Compensation: The preaching fellow will receive an honorarium of $1500 for five Sundays of leadership (in two payments). CCP will not provide benefits or housing for the fellow. The fellow is an independent contractor. The fellow is required to complete an I-9 form, a W-9 form, employment eligibility verification, and other documentation.
