University Baptist Church invites inquiries regarding its recently opened pastor search. As we affirm on our website ( ubchm.org ), “UBC exists to live out the gospel of Jesus and be an affirming example of God’s light to all.”
We are affiliated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, the Alliance of Baptists, and the Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptists. A diverse congregation of approximately 150, we are inclusive, inquisitive, and community-minded. We are committed to robust Christian education and actively support a number of local and global ministries.
Hattiesburg is a thriving college town of approximately 50,000 within a metropolitan area of over 150,000 with an active arts scene, more than its share of coffee shops, two large hospitals, and two universities, The University of Southern Mississippi and William Carey University.
