Ravensworth Baptist Church, an AWAB member congregation in Annandale, Virginia, is seeking Music Staff to help lead and support its worship and music ministry.
This flexible position (or set of positions) may include worship accompaniment, choir direction, or a combined role based on candidates’ strengths. Possibilities for the position(s) include, but are not limited to:
- Separate accompanist and minister/director positions
- Combined accompanist and minister/director positions
- Some other staffing configuration that fulfills our needs
Salary: $30,000-32,000 per year for one person as Director/Accompanist; if position is split between two or more people, this total would be allocated among positions. Salary is negotiable based on experience and education.
Work Schedule: 10-12 hours per week; Sunday worship and regular choir rehearsal are the only in-person requirements. If the position is split between two people, hours would be adjusted.
Qualifications: College degree in a related field, with Master’s degree in related field preferred; experience working in church settings, specifically worship accompaniment and choir accompaniment/directing.
Supervisor: This position reports to the Pastor.
Other information: Preferred start date July 1, 2025; will consider later start date for candidate if necessary, but prefer no later than August 1.
