Viewed and Voiced: A Celebration of AWAB’s Trans Community
AWAB is proud to announce Viewed and Voiced, a special publication uplifting the voices, experiences, and creative works of trans-identified members of AWAB Member Churches. This collection will feature art, writing, reflections, sermons, songs, videos, and more—all centered on the lives and ministries of trans people in our churches.
We also want to highlight trans-centered ministries that AWAB Member Churches are leading or partnering with, amplifying the incredible work happening in our communities.
What types of submissions are accepted?
We welcome all forms of digital media, including:
- Art, poetry, and essays
- Reflections, sermons, and articles
- Music, videos, and performances
For video or music submissions: Please include a short paragraph explaining your work and its meaning. If your piece is hosted online (YouTube, SoundCloud, etc.), feel free to send us the link.
For TDOV, visibility matters: If possible, include a photo of yourself or the ministry in action to accompany your submission.
Who Can Submit?
This publication is specifically for trans-identified people in AWAB Member Churches and leaders of trans-focused ministries within AWAB churches. If you are submitting on behalf of a ministry, please ensure the work is authored by, for, and about trans people in your congregation.
Submission Deadline: Monday, March 24 at 5 PM EDT
To ensure we have time to curate and design the publication, all submissions must be received by March 24 at 5 PM EDT.
What’s Next?
Selected submissions will be featured in a beautifully designed digital publication shared with the AWAB network via email and social media on March 31, Trans Day of Visibility.
