We will not sell, share, or trade our donors’ names or personal information with any other entity, nor will we send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.

This policy applies to all information received by the Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptists (AWAB), both online and offline, on any Platform (‘Platform’, includes the AWAB website and mobile applications), as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications.

To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.

We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of data. We restrict access to your personally identifying information to employees who need to know that information to operate, develop or improve our services.

You can always unsubscribe from our commercial or promotional emails by clicking unsubscribe in those messages. We will still send you transactional emails.

AWAB meets and/or exceeds the disclosure requirements of U.S. state privacy laws (e.g., Colorado Privacy Act and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).) You have a number of choices in relation to your personal information. Further, you may have a legal right to these choices depending on your state.

Right to Appeal. If we decline to act regarding your request, you have the right to appeal this decision.

Other Rights. You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of the rights listed above.

The cookies we use for these purposes do not track your Internet usage after leaving our website and do not store your personal information. They will not be used in connection with any other information to identify you in any way. Google Analytics collects information anonymously. It reports website trends without identifying individual visitors. We understand that no matter how we collect your information, we have a responsibility to protect it.  We take that responsibility seriously.  We build security into our website features and donation processing from the ground up to help protect data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

We’re always looking for threats and take reasonable steps to respond to those threats, protecting the information users share with us.  Of course, no method of Internet transmission or data storage can provide guaranteed protection to your information.  If anything should ever happen to your information, we’ll let you know as soon as we can and try our best to make it right.

AWAB is based in the United States and the information we collect is governed primarily by U.S. law. Where we are subject to the privacy laws of other countries, we comply with those requirements.
