AWAB is committed to connecting, supporting, and fostering collaboration among our member churches, ministry leaders, and the broader LGBTQ+ Baptist community. That’s why we created Friday Fellowship—a virtual lounge designed as a safe space for members of our AWAB family to gather and connect.
During these hour-long meetings, participants are encouraged to share best practices related to their ministries and to enjoy fellowship with like-minded individuals. There are four fellowship groups to choose from: Persistent Pastors, Aligned Allies, Queer Clergy, and Trans Talk. Sessions will be held on Zoom, and registration is required. To learn more and register, please click the button below.

Aligned Allies
October 11

For any LGBTQ+ ally. We’ll discuss how to not just be supportive, but also fight discrimination and stand in the gap.
Queer Clergy
October 18
1:30 Eastern/12:30 Central/11:30 Mountain/10:30 Pacific
For any minister (lay or ordained) who identifies as LGBTQ+. You do not have to be currently serving a congregation. We’ll commiserate together about the unique challenges of navigating Baptist life.
Trans Talk

For any Trans folx – adults, those transitioning, and parents of trans teens and children. We’ll provide space to hear about specific ways you need support from AWAB and how we can create safe online communities.
